The seeds for loving all kinds of food were planted long ago along with the seeds of healthy living. I have vivid memories of my dad, aunt, and grandma taking me to different restaurants as a child. We were eating everything from Asian to Ethiopian. I don’t remember ever being picky However, I do remember being taught healthy eating.
I’m 24 years old. I guess that’s not too young or too old. In no particular order, I like thinking, reading, writing, listening to music, cooking and eating. When it comes to eating and cooking I could never be an eater more than a cook or a cook more than an eater. They are both important to me and both make me happy. I’m also a vegetarian. I’m a vegetarian who eats eggs but I have recently given up all dairy.
I have not completed a college degree yet and I am currently not attending college but when I did I tried studying sign language as well as philosophy. Recently, I have been thinking that I should find a vegetarian cooking school and learn how to cook in a professional kitchen. I do want to complete a degree eventually!
Recently, while shopping, I remarked to my friend Latrisha “I should blog about how I eat healthy and shop frugally”. I’m not rich but my kitchen is. Thus Professor Vegetable was born.
My intentions for this blog are pretty simple and I hope not too general. I want to create a guide to healthy eating and living while also sharing my personal views and experiences. I don’t have a lot of fancy cooking gadgets and I don’t go to Whole Foods but I do make delicious and healthy food without spending a lot of money. I plan to blog about ideas, recipes, shopping experiences, and restaurants.
